Does it harm the lay out, or are you in principle the same as the COC people, not willing to include the untouchables? It took a lot of pain visiting Ben in his last days. he died in my arms, surrounded by his kin, only visited by a few of his Shaft-day friends like Korstiaan and Ton or his private project Marcel, who stole the coins from his wallet I had put in to buy lemonade, the only foodstuf he ingested.

Ik had Manchester Orchestra ook recentelijk 'ontdekt'. Als oudere baby boomer ben ik altijd opzoek naar goed nieuw muziek en inspiratie grotendeels omdat tijdens de jaren 60, 70 en (deels) tachtig was er elke maand iets nieuws en spannends te vinden. Die dagen zijn allang voorbij. Ik vind Snow Patrol, The Killers en Muse erg goede bands - wel derivatief maar eerlijk genoeg om hun inspiraties te bekennen. Ze zijn ook niet ver verwijderd van Manchester Orchestra. Maar helaas zijn de gouden eeuwen van 30 ongelooflijke nieuwe bands per jaar niet meer en de wil om die te ontdekken is ook weg in deze klimaat. Ik ben verslaafd op BBC4 documentaries over verschillende genres en periodes van pop/rock muziek maar dat zegt alles over de uitgedroogde woestijn die de muziek scene nu is. Desalniettemin ben ik constant opzoek en zal altijd iets aparts/nieuws/uitdagends doorsturen.
O wat ben ik zo blij dat ik 18 in 1968 was maar zoals Shakespeare zei, '...there is nothing new under the sun.'

Agnes Kant leaving is indeed sad, like you say Ad. You can think of her whatever you want, but she at least was sincere and passionate, something our prime minister Balkenellende cannot possibly say about himself. I feel sorry he failed to be a real man. He will have to live with it though, and if my intuition does not mislead me, he will one they, hopefully even before national elections take place in June, be forced to leave and take the consequences of his weak leaderhsip
